Page Title ACT Against Violence Web Site Wins Silver WWW Health Award

The Adults & Children Together Against Violence Web site received a Silver World Wide Web Health Award in the category of Association/Professional Society during the Spring 2003 awards program. The WWW Health Awards is a program that recognizes the best health-related Web Sites for consumers and professionals.

With the goal of proving a “seal of quality” for electronic health information, the WWW Health Awards is organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for consumer health information programs and materials. This Web-based health awards is an extension of the HIRC’s nine-year old National Health Information Awards (NHIA), the largest program of its kind in the United States. Last year, there were nearly 1,000 NHIA entries from hundreds of organizations. A panel of international health information and Internet experts judges entries based on accuracy, success in reaching the targeted audience, and overall quality.

The ACT Against Violence Web site was designed by IQ Solutions, Inc. For more information about the WWW Health Awards, visit http://www.healthawards.com.
